Every object has a story. Each designer carries unique baggage of experiences. Each exhibition makes an impression.
It is worth writing about it; it is even better to know how to do it.
Over the past two weeks, I have written seven texts about design as part of the Summer Intensive in Design Writing & Research, a course organized by the School of Visual Arts in New York.
Under the mentorship of eminent specialists (including writer Rob Walker or reporter Robin Pogrebin), I sharpened my voice, learned about the writing craft, and accepted criticism with openness.
This course was highly demanding. It tested my orderliness, ability to function in a different time zone, and keep deadlines. It led me to expose my weaknesses, step out of my comfort zone and encouraged me to play with form.
It also resulted in meeting great people!
Now I hope it will leave a permanent mark on my writing.
